Rest (Five Minute Friday)

This week I’m joining the Five Minute Friday community, writing five minutes flat on the word rest.

Often times “rest” means staying in. But tonight? Tonight taking a rest meant going to our favorite spot on the coast, where the kids can explore and not get sandy and we can just…breathe.

The evening couldn’t be more beautiful. Everyone “summer time” happy (which is, in fact, a special kind of happy). A stranger let the kids play with her dog and it was the sweetest thing to watch them play. We miss our Bella dog, who passed away in February…

Then she offered to take a family picture for us, which is so rare. I’m so glad she asked.

Tomorrow we start a busy weekend, followed by a full week. But tonight we just took a moment to breath and be together and rest.

  1. I just can’t leave a comment to “Heal”, that’s why it comes here:
A simple yet strong comparison! May you have wisdom and love for deciding on where and what to do to enable healing in your relationships.
